Is it just me or is the fact that John Watson is now going to be “Joan Watson” more than a little upsetting? Like I’m furious right now. We all know they did it so that she could be romantically involved with Sherlock. Because they need the romantic aspect of it to bring in viewers, but heaven forbid we have to gay men on television doing anything other than singing show tunes. No. And what the fuck, she can’t have been in the army? Why? Because she’s a woman? She loses her medical license too, so what, she’s going to just be some side kick? John Watson is a bamf partner, not just some fuck toy to follow Sherlock around. I was only mildly irritated before this. If you’re going to be cock ups and make him a woman, at least have the decensy to make her a self dependant one. Honestly, I’m so pissed to be an American right now.
